Process and data flow diagram examples
Each diagram on these pages was built by Wavelength from one spoken description. Nobody drew them by hand. Every page shows what was said, the finished flow, and Mermaid code you can copy.
How to use these examples
- Find a process like yours. The examples are grouped by team below.
- Read what was said. Each page starts with the description that built the flow. Compare it with how your team would say it.
- Copy the Mermaid code into a README, a wiki, or a design doc. It renders the same flow.
- Open the editable version. Most examples have a template. Open it, then say what is different in your team.
Each diagram uses the same shapes. Hexagons are systems. Cylinders are data stores. Diamonds are decisions. Rounded orange boxes are people and teams. Pink arrows are decision branches, and blue arrows move data.

Map your own process
Talk through your process, or paste a call transcript. Wavelength draws the flow while you talk. Have a recording instead? Read how to turn a transcript into a process map.
