Common questions about how Wavelength turns a spoken process or a call transcript into an editable diagram, what happens to your transcripts, which AI it uses, and how it works with Teams, Meet, and Zoom.

What exactly does Wavelength do?

You talk through a process, or paste a call transcript, and Wavelength builds an editable diagram in real time. People become actor cards, tools become system shapes, databases become cylinders, and branches become decision diamonds. You can correct anything by prompt, right-click, or by hand.

Do I have to record the call?

No. Wavelength listens through your own microphone while you talk, or you paste a transcript afterward. It does not join meetings, does not dial in, and does not record the other party.

What happens to my transcripts?

They are stored on your account so you can revisit and re-edit a flow. Delete a flow and the transcript, diagram, and version history go with it. Transcripts are never used to train any AI model.

Which AI does it use?

Wavelength uses Groq-hosted open models: Llama for structuring and Whisper for speech-to-text. Per Groq’s published policy, inference inputs and outputs are not retained by default, and we never use your content to train any model.

How is this different from Lucidchart or Miro?

Those are drawing tools with AI added. You still have to build the diagram. Wavelength starts from the conversation, so the diagram exists by the time the conversation is over.

How is this different from Gong, Fireflies, or Otter?

Those return a text summary and action items. None of them produce a process diagram. Wavelength is the visual artifact those tools do not make.

Can I use it live on a customer call?

That is what it is built for. Share your screen, talk through their process, and correct the map as they push back. Dashed amber lines mark anything the AI inferred rather than heard, so nothing unverified slips into the picture.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Five saved flows, no credit card, with a Wavelength watermark. Starter is $9.99 per user per month for 50 new graphs a month and your own logo. Pro is $19.99 per user per month for unlimited graphs, version history, email recaps, and team collaboration.

Does Wavelength work inside Zoom?

Yes. Starter and Pro include the Wavelength Zoom app. Open it from the Apps panel in a meeting, press Start, and the flow builds from the live transcript while you talk. Teams and Google Meet users can upload the transcript file after the call.

Does Wavelength work in Microsoft Teams or Google Meet?

Yes. The Wavelength Chrome extension is available now on the Chrome Web Store. It opens a side panel beside any meeting tab, including Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom on the web. Hold the mic, talk through the process, and the diagram builds as you speak. It is included with Starter and Pro.
