Wavelength for Slack
Post the process map to the channel where your team works, right after the call.
Every plan, including Free. The free plan needs no card.
What it does
After a discovery call, the team wants the process in the channel, not in an attachment nobody opens. Wavelength posts the flow to a Slack channel with a short summary, the questions that are still open, and a button that opens the live flow.
Setup uses a Slack incoming webhook, so there is no Wavelength app to approve in your Slack workspace.
What you can do
- Send any flow to a Slack channel from Export, then Send to.
- Each post has the flow title, a step by step summary, open questions, and an Open in Wavelength button.
- Save several channels, for example one per team or per customer.
- Send a test message from Settings to check the connection.
How to connect
- In Slack, add the Incoming Webhooks app to a channel, or make a Slack workflow that starts from a webhook. Copy the webhook URL.
- In Wavelength, open Settings, then Channels and webhooks, then Add. Pick Slack and paste the URL.
- Wavelength sends a test message. Then use Export, then Send to, on any flow.
Access and privacy
Wavelength stores the webhook URL encrypted and uses it only to post the flows you send. It cannot read messages in your Slack workspace. Remove the channel in Settings, or delete the webhook in Slack.
Common questions
Does Wavelength integrate with Slack?
Yes. Wavelength sends a flow to a Slack channel through a Slack incoming webhook. The post has the summary, open questions, and a link to the live flow.
Can Wavelength read my Slack messages?
No. A Slack incoming webhook can only post to the channel it belongs to. Wavelength cannot read anything in Slack.
Do I need a Slack admin?
You need permission to add the Incoming Webhooks app or to make a workflow in the channel. Many workspaces let members do this.
