Comparison
A Scribe alternative for the process that people explain, not click
Scribe records how you do a task on screen and turns the clicks into a step-by-step guide with screenshots. Wavelength turns a spoken explanation into a process map. This page lists the facts about both.
We checked Scribe's pricing page and Scribe's voice transcription help article on October 19, 2026. Check them before you buy.
The short answer
- Scribe captures the clicks of one person at one screen. The output is a step guide with screenshots.
- Wavelength captures how the work moves between people, systems, and decisions, from a conversation. The output is a process map.

Where each tool is strong
Scribe records the real clicks with screenshots, so the guide matches the real software screens. For a click-by-click training guide, that is its strength.
Where Wavelength fits
Many processes do not happen at one screen. An approval waits for a manager, a file goes to finance, and a customer calls back. Nobody can screen-record that. They can explain it. Wavelength turns that explanation into a map of who does what, which system holds the data, and where the decisions are.
See transcript to flowchart and the Chrome side panel for the two ways to start.
