Wavelength for Google Drive

Pull call notes and transcripts in from Drive, and send finished process maps back out. Wavelength sees only the files you pick or the files it makes.

What it does

Your calls, notes, and decks already live in Google Drive. Wavelength works with them in both directions. Import a transcript or a recording, get the process map, then save it back to Drive in the format your team uses.

Wavelength asks Google for the narrowest Drive permission there is. It can open a file only after you pick it in Google's own file picker, and it can see the files it creates. It cannot read the rest of your Drive.

What you can do

  • Import a Google Meet transcript. The Drive picker has a Meet transcripts tab.
  • Import a Google Doc, Sheet, or Slides deck as text and turn it into a flow.
  • Import a recording, a PDF, a Word file, or a Visio or draw.io file stored in Drive.
  • Save a flow as a Google Slides deck or as a PowerPoint file.
  • Save the steps and metrics as a Google Sheet.
  • Save the written SOP as a Google Doc.
  • Save a PNG, a PDF, or a draw.io file. Exports go to a Wavelength folder in your Drive.

How to connect

  1. In Wavelength, click Drive above the transcript box, or open Export and pick a Save to Google Drive option.
  2. Approve Wavelength on Google's consent screen. Keep the Google Drive box ticked.
  3. Pick a file to import, or let Wavelength save the export. You stay connected until you disconnect.

Access and privacy

Wavelength asks for the drive.file scope only. It can see files that you pick in the Google picker and files that it creates. It also reads your Google account email to show which account is connected. Disconnect in Settings, then Connected apps, or remove Wavelength at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Common questions

Does Wavelength integrate with Google Drive?

Yes. You can import files from Google Drive into Wavelength and save flows back to Drive as Google Slides, a Google Sheet, a Google Doc, PNG, PDF, PowerPoint, or draw.io.

Can Wavelength read all my Google Drive files?

No. Wavelength uses the drive.file scope. It can open only the files you pick in the Google picker and the files Wavelength creates.

Can I turn a Google Meet transcript into a process map?

Yes. Google Meet saves transcripts as Google Docs in the organizer's Drive. Pick the transcript in the Meet transcripts tab of the Drive picker, and Wavelength builds the flow.
