Wavelength Try the live demo

Record how the best location does it. Give every location the same steps.

Wavelength is for franchisors and multi-location operators who need every location to follow the same procedure. You record a walkthrough of how the best location runs a task, or upload the recording, and you get a process map and a written SOP you can hand to every location manager.

The problem with franchise procedures is that the best location does it right and the rest do it differently. The procedure manual says one thing, the best location does another, and the new location follows the manual because nobody told them what changed. The decisions and the exceptions are the part that drift, and they are the part that matters.

Why procedures drift across locations

You write the procedure manual once and update it when someone notices it is wrong. The best location evolves the steps over time and nobody updates the manual. A new location opens, follows the manual, and does it differently from day one. The gap between the manual and the best location is where the inconsistency lives.

The fix is to capture the procedure from the best location while they still do it. They talk through the task, the diagram builds, and the decisions appear as they describe them. The SOP comes from the same source, so the manual and the best location agree.

How it works

  1. Record the best location. Have the top performer talk through the procedure as if training a new hire. Or upload a recording of the walkthrough. The actors, steps, decisions, and handoffs appear on the canvas as they are mentioned.
  2. Export the SOP. Choose Export and then SOP document for a .doc file that opens in Word and Google Docs, or Copy SOP as Markdown for Notion or a shared drive.
  3. Share a review link with location managers. They open it in a browser, confirm each step, or flag one that does not match their store. No account and no install for them.
  4. Add metrics to the steps that matter. Set active and wait minutes on the steps that slow the procedure down. The metrics summary shows the wait percent so you can see where to trim.
  5. Keep it current. Re-record when the best location changes the procedure. The new walkthrough updates the flow and the SOP, so the manual never drifts.

The review link catches the local differences

Share the review link with the location managers before you roll out. They confirm the steps that match their store and flag the ones that do not. You fix the gaps before the procedure goes out, not after a location does it wrong for a month.

What the procedure includes

The exported SOP lists the roles mentioned in the process, the tools involved, and the numbered steps in order. Each step has an owner when the conversation names who does it. Decision points appear as branches with the paths that follow. Open questions the AI could not resolve are called out at the end so you know what to confirm with the people who run the task.

Where it does not fit

Wavelength does not replace your operations manual. It captures the spoken walkthrough and turns it into a flow and a written procedure. If you need a formal operations manual with policy language and brand standards, build that on top of the SOP it produces. Use Wavelength to keep the procedures current as the best location evolves.

It also does not manage training completion or track who has read the procedure. It produces the procedure. You track adoption in your LMS or franchise management system.

Common questions

Can I record the best location and share the steps to every location?

Yes. Record a walkthrough of how the best location runs a procedure, or upload the recording. Wavelength turns it into a process map and a written SOP you can hand to every location.

Can location managers review the procedure before it rolls out?

Yes. Share a review link and the location manager opens it in a browser. They can confirm each step or flag one that does not match their store, with no account and no install.

What file format is the procedure?

A .doc file that opens in Microsoft Word and Google Docs. You can also copy the procedure as Markdown for Notion, a wiki, or a shared drive.

Can I add metrics to the steps?

Yes. Add active and wait minutes to the steps that matter. The metrics summary shows total active time, total wait time, and the wait percent, so you can see where a procedure slows down.

Does this replace our operations manual?

No. Wavelength captures the spoken walkthrough and turns it into a flow and a written procedure. If you need a formal operations manual, build that on top of the SOP it produces. Use it to keep the procedures current as the best location evolves.
