Wavelength Try the live demo

Map the routing rules before you build them in the CRM.

Wavelength is for RevOps and CRM admins who need to get lead routing and deal desk approval rules right before they configure them. You run a working session, describe the rules out loud, and every rule becomes a decision branch on the canvas. You leave with the routing map validated by the people who have to live with it.

The risk with routing rules is that they live in someone's head until you build them. You configure the CRM, launch, and discover the edge case nobody mentioned: the existing account check, the territory match, the discount threshold that goes to deal desk. Each one is a branch, and each missing branch is a lead that routes wrong.

Why routing rules are hard to get right

You collect the rules in a meeting and write them in a doc. The doc lists the happy path and skips the exceptions. You build the automation from the doc. The first edge case that hits production routes to the wrong person, and nobody can tell whether the rule or the build is wrong because the doc and the automation say different things.

The fix is to draw the rules as a tree while the people who own them are still in the room. Each rule is a decision node with Yes and No paths. When someone describes an exception, it becomes a new branch on the canvas right there. You see the full routing logic on one page before you touch the CRM.

How it works

  1. Run a working session. Share your screen and describe the routing rules out loud. The actors, steps, and decisions appear on the canvas as you mention them. Sales corrects the branches in the room.
  2. Each rule becomes a decision node. The existing account check, the territory match, and the discount threshold each render as a diamond with Yes and No paths. The full routing tree is on one canvas.
  3. Attach the diagram to the HubSpot deal. From Export, choose Attach to HubSpot deal. Wavelength attaches the diagram, a written summary, and a live link as a note on the deal.
  4. Compare current routing against proposed routing. Save the current routing as one flow and the proposed routing as another. Open Compare and the two diagrams sit side by side with the differences highlighted.
  5. Export a build skeleton. Choose n8n workflow or Make scenario to start building the automation from the validated diagram.

Validate before you build

The diagram is the single source of truth for the routing logic. Once sales agrees on the branches, you configure the CRM from the same picture. No more guessing whether the doc or the build is right when a lead routes wrong.

What the routing map includes

The diagram shows every decision in the routing chain as a diamond with labeled Yes and No paths. Each step has an owner when the conversation names who does it. The exported SOP lists the roles, the tools, and the numbered steps with the branches spelled out. You can share a review link so the sales team confirms each rule before you build.

Where it does not fit

Wavelength does not replace your CRM routing automation. It documents the rules so everyone agrees on them before you configure. Once the diagram is validated, you build the routing in HubSpot or your automation platform. Use the n8n or Make export to start the build from the same picture.

It also does not enrich leads or score them. It maps the process that decides where a lead goes and who approves what. If you need real-time enrichment or scoring, that belongs in your automation stack. Wavelength gives you the blueprint to build from.

Common questions

Can I attach the routing diagram to a HubSpot deal?

Yes. From Export, choose Attach to HubSpot deal. Wavelength attaches the diagram, a written summary, and a live link as a note on the deal. It works on every plan, including Free.

How do I show every routing rule as a branch?

Each rule becomes a decision node. The existing account check, the territory match, and the discount threshold each render as a diamond with Yes and No paths. You see the full routing tree on one canvas.

Can I compare current routing against proposed routing?

Yes. Save the current routing as one flow and the proposed routing as another. Open Compare and the two diagrams sit side by side with the differences highlighted.

Does this replace my CRM routing automation?

No. Wavelength documents the rules so everyone agrees on them before you build. Once the diagram is validated, you configure the routing in HubSpot or your automation platform. Use the n8n or Make export to start the build.

Can I run this in a working session with sales?

Yes. Share your screen and describe the rules out loud. The diagram builds as you talk. Sales corrects the branches in the room, and you leave with the routing map already validated.
