Wavelength for Google Chat

What it does

Teams on Google Workspace talk in Google Chat spaces. Wavelength posts the flow to a space with the summary, the open questions, and a link that opens the live flow.

Setup uses a Google Chat webhook for the space. There is no app to approve.

What you can do

• Send any flow to a Google Chat space from Export, then Send to.
• Each message has the flow title, a summary, open questions, and a link to the flow.
• Save several spaces and send a test message from Settings.

How to connect

1. In the Google Chat space, open Apps and integrations, then Webhooks, then Add webhook. Copy the URL.
2. In Wavelength, open Settings, then Channels and webhooks, then Add. Pick Google Chat and paste the URL.
3. Wavelength sends a test message. Then use Export, then Send to, on any flow.

Access and privacy

Wavelength stores the webhook URL encrypted and uses it only to post the flows you send. It cannot read messages in Google Chat.

Can Wavelength read my Google Chat messages?

No. A space webhook can only post messages. Wavelength cannot read the space.
