Wavelength for Cursor

Create and edit flow diagrams from the Cursor chat.

Every plan, including Free. The free plan needs no card.

What it does

Add the Wavelength server to your Cursor MCP config. The Cursor agent can then create, read, and edit flows in your Wavelength account.

Use it to map how a system works while you read the code, then share the flow with your team.

What you can do

  • Turn call notes or a transcript into a saved flow.
  • List, search, and read your flows.
  • Edit a flow in plain English. Each edit saves a version.
  • Get a public read-only link to share a flow.
  • Export a flow as Mermaid, JSON, SVG, or draw.io.
  • Import a Mermaid, draw.io, or SVG diagram as an editable flow.

How to connect

  1. Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project).
  2. Add this: {"mcpServers": {"wavelength": {"url": "https://wavelengthflow.com/api/mcp"}}}
  3. Open Cursor Settings, then MCP, and click Connect next to Wavelength.
  4. Sign in with your Wavelength account.

Access and privacy

Sign-in uses OAuth. Each tool acts only as you, and your plan limits apply the same way as in the app. Transcripts are never used to train a model. To let the AI read your flows but never change them, open Settings, then AI connector, and turn on read-only mode.

Common questions

Does Wavelength work with Cursor?

Yes. Add the Wavelength server to your Cursor MCP config and sign in with your Wavelength account.

Do I need an API key?

No. Sign-in uses OAuth.

Does it cost extra?

No. The connector uses your normal Wavelength plan. A free account works.
