Wavelength for ChatGPT

Ask ChatGPT to map a process or edit a flow, and see the diagram in the chat.

What it does

Wavelength has a remote MCP server. Add it to ChatGPT as an MCP app in developer mode and sign in with your Wavelength account.

ChatGPT can then create, read, edit, and share your flows. A flow shows as an interactive diagram in the chat. You can pan, zoom, and drag nodes.

What you can do

  • Turn call notes or a transcript into a saved flow.
  • List, search, and read your flows.
  • Edit a flow in plain English. Each edit saves a version.
  • Get a public read-only link to share a flow.
  • Export a flow as Mermaid, JSON, SVG, or draw.io.
  • Import a Mermaid, draw.io, or SVG diagram as an editable flow.

How to connect

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Open Plugins in the sidebar, click +, then Create app, then Create MCP App.
  3. Name it Wavelength, paste https://wavelengthflow.com/api/mcp, and set Authentication to OAuth.
  4. Tick "I understand and want to continue", click Create, sign in, and click Approve.
  5. In a new chat, click + and select Wavelength.

Access and privacy

Sign-in uses OAuth. Each tool acts only as you, and your plan limits apply the same way as in the app. Transcripts are never used to train a model. To let the AI read your flows but never change them, open Settings, then AI connector, and turn on read-only mode.

Common questions

Does Wavelength work with ChatGPT?

Yes. Add Wavelength as an MCP app in developer mode. ChatGPT can then create, read, edit, and share your flows.

Do I need developer mode?

Yes. Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT before you add the app.

I connected before September 24, 2026. What do I do?

Delete the Wavelength app in ChatGPT under Settings, then Plugins, and add it again with the same URL. A reconnect alone does not work.

Does it cost extra?

No. The connector uses your normal Wavelength plan. A free account works.
