Wavelength for Claude Code
Map a system from inside your repo and keep the diagram as an editable flow.
Every plan, including Free. The free plan needs no card.
What it does
Claude Code can read your code and describe how a system works. With the Wavelength server added, it can save that description as a flow diagram in your Wavelength account.
Your team can then open the flow in Wavelength, edit it by voice or by hand, and export it.
What you can do
- Ask Claude Code to map a service, a pipeline, or a request path as a flow.
- Create a flow from exact nodes and edges, with no AI call on the Wavelength side.
- Export a flow as Mermaid for a README or a docs page.
- Edit, version, and compare flows as the code changes.
How to connect
- Run this command in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http wavelength https://wavelengthflow.com/api/mcp - In Claude Code, type /mcp and select Wavelength.
- Sign in with your Wavelength account when the browser opens.
Access and privacy
Sign-in uses OAuth. Each tool acts only as you, and your plan limits apply the same way as in the app. Transcripts are never used to train a model. To let the AI read your flows but never change them, open Settings, then AI connector, and turn on read-only mode.
Common questions
Does Wavelength work with Claude Code?
Yes. Add the Wavelength server with one command, then sign in with your Wavelength account.
Does Wavelength read my code?
No. Claude Code reads your code. Wavelength gets only the flow that Claude Code sends to it.
Does it cost extra?
No. The connector uses your normal Wavelength plan. A free account works.
