Starter makes sense the moment you are sending diagrams to people outside your company. It swaps the Wavelength watermark for your logo, which matters when the artifact lands in a customer's inbox after a discovery call.
Pro is for people who map flows as part of the job rather than occasionally. If you need more than 50 new flows a month, choose Pro. Pro also adds version history and the shared team library.
Annual billing
Paying annually costs the equivalent of ten months rather than twelve on both paid plans: $49.90 a year on Starter and $99.90 a year on Pro.

Is there a free plan?
Yes. Up to 5 saved flows, no credit card. It includes flows built by voice or transcript, AI generate and edit, and export to PNG, PDF, PowerPoint, draw.io, Mermaid, and BPMN 2.0. Pro has a 7-day free trial, then $9.99 a month. Exports carry a Wavelength watermark that cannot be removed on the free plan.
Do I need a card to try it?
No. The Free plan needs no card. The 7-day Pro trial asks for a card, and after 7 days it costs $9.99 a month unless you cancel. And if you do not want to create an account at all, the live demo is a fully interactive flow with no signup.
What is the difference between Starter and Pro?
Starter gives you 50 new flows a month, your own logo watermark, and removes Wavelength branding. Pro removes the flow cap entirely and adds version history and restore, email flow with an AI recap, team invites you set up once, a shared team flow library, and per-flow collaborators with invite links. Starter includes 4 hours of mic time per month and Pro includes 10 hours.
What is mic time?
Mic time is the time you hold the mic button while Wavelength listens. The diagram builds live while you talk. Free includes 30 minutes per month, Starter 4 hours, and Pro 10 hours. The 7 day Pro trial includes 60 minutes. Typing or pasting a transcript never uses mic time.
Is pricing per user or per team?
Starter is for one user. Teams use Pro at $9.99 per seat, on one subscription. Pro lets you invite your team once and collaborate on every call, rather than setting up sharing each time.
How do organizations pay?
An organization pays for Pro per seat. Each seat costs $9.99 per member per month, or $99.90 per member per year. The owner buys the number of seats on one subscription. Each member up to the seat count gets the Pro plan.
Can I remove the Wavelength watermark?
Yes, on any paid plan. Starter and Pro replace it with your own company logo, and you control opacity and position. On free it is fixed.
How does this compare to Lucidchart or Miro?
Different job. Those are general diagramming suites you draw in. Wavelength builds the diagram from what you say, which matters most in the twenty minutes where you are still learning the process. Your Lucidchart maps come with you as Visio files. See Wavelength vs Lucidchart.
What happens when my trial ends?
On day 8, your card is charged $9.99 for one month of Pro. To stop the charge, cancel before then in Settings > Manage billing. You then keep the Free plan.
Does Wavelength train AI on my calls?
No. Wavelength does not train AI models on your audio, images, transcripts, or diagrams. Zero data retention is on for our Groq account, so Groq does not keep our request data. Read AI and your data.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel any time in Settings, Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Read the Terms.
Do mic minutes roll over?
No. Mic minutes reset on the first day of each calendar month, and unused minutes do not carry over. The 7-day Pro trial has 60 mic minutes for the whole trial. Typing or pasting a transcript never uses mic minutes.
